SHANNON ONLAM HUI

Shannon is an interdisciplinary designer, with a deep passion for community-driven design and programming. She has led an award-winning proposal to reimagine the Brooklyn Bridge, advocated for affordable housing as a Norman Foster Foundation Scholar, and supported tenant and small business organizing efforts in the Lower East Side as an ANHD/Morgan Stanley Community Development Fellow. She spends her days developing parks for under-resourced cities as a Project Associate at New City Parks, and her nights researching nighttime equity in New York City in collaboration with the Public Design Commission.

Shannon holds an M.S. in Urban Planning from Columbia University, where she received the New York Chapter of the American Planning Association’s Award, and a B.A. in Architecture and Psychology from Barnard College.
