Danielle Denk is Senior Director of the Community Schoolyards Initiative at Trust for Public Land, where she leads work with partners nationwide to transform asphalt schoolyards into vibrant, healthy, climate-smart community hubs. Over more than 25 years, she has blended public space design, landscape architecture, and community organizing to ensure everyone has access to high-quality public space. Before assuming her current role, she directed TPL’s “Parks for People” programs in Camden and Philadelphia, working directly with schools, students, teachers, and neighborhoods. Danielle holds a degree in architecture and urban design from Kent State University and a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
