Kai is an Associate Director at the NC State University’s Institute for Transportation Research and Education where he leads teams that focus on school planning and transportation, public transportation, bicycle and pedestrian transportation, and land use/transportation modeling. He specializes in applied research and providing technical assistance to local communities and state agencies. Kai’s background is transportation planning, public sector performance measures, and spatial analysis.
