Alyson West (she/her) works at the Town of Chapel Hill as the Safe Routes to School Coordinator in the Planning Department’s Office of Mobility and Greenways. She has a Master’s in City and Regional Planning from UNC Chapel Hill and spent seven years at UNC’s Highway Safety Research Center researching bicycle and pedestrian safety before coming to the Town. She lives in Carrboro, NC with her teenaged son and partner.
