CHRIS RICE, AICP

Chris Rice, AICP, is an Associate Principal at WXY Studio. He joined WXY in 2016 and focuses on community-based planning, environmental justice, and public school systems. Chris holds a Master of Science in City and Regional Planning from the Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College. He is a founding member of the BlackSpace Urbanist Collective, a member of the Urban Design Forum, and previously served as adjunct faculty in Parsons’ graduate Design and Urban Ecologies program. Notably, Chris led the D15 Diversity Plan process, the first comprehensive community-based planning effort focused on socioeconomic and racial integration in New York City public schools.
